Given my love for books and friends, I want to pass the word that the first week of October is "Buy A Friend A Book Week." This event is cool because, as best I can tell, it’s the brainchild of a Mom who started the movement herself online and has taken off via virtual word-of-mouth. So share a book and pass the word.
The second upcoming calendar note is the first Sunday in October – “World Make Your Own Card Day." I’m planning to set aside time that day to create my own cards (a hobby I inherited from my Mother) with South Florida nature photos (see Jim’s blog for samples) to use as hostess gifts during the upcoming holiday season. (Hint: Invite me to your parties!)
